Costa Rican construction companies complain of Chinese competition

“Imports” of Chinese labor from a Chinese state company in Costa Rica are being accused by local companies of unfairly cutting costs.

The company Chinafecc Central America launched a luxury project known as Torres del Lago that was given permits for 100 Chinese workers.

The company is a subsidiary of the Chinese state company that is in charge of the construction of Costa Rica’s new national stadium.
