Growing competition and another tough year for the economy, is forcing Costa Rica’s department stores to devise new strategies.
The nation’s leading stores are facing more competition than ever, just when consumers are having to keep a rein on spending.
On newcomer is El Salvador’s Almacenes Simán, which has operations throughout the reason. Hipermás has grown in tandem with Wal-Mart, and yet another strong competitor is Aliss, of Venezuela.
