Costa Rican energyy attracts investment

The Inter-American Development Bank is planning to finance green energy projects in Costa Rica, as well as support state and private energy firms to increase their participation in the Central American country's energy sector.

Costa Rica has the region's largest energy market, and an installed capacity of 2.6 Gigawatts, most of which come from green sources.

The most important project currently under construction is Reventazón, a hydroelectric plan set to start operating in 2016 and account for 10 percent of the country's total electricity generation.
