Costa Rican free zones attracted 36 companies

Thirty-six new companies were admitted to Costa Rica’s free zones last year. They arrived following reforms to the system.

Of the total, 29 of the companies were foreign, mainly call centers and makers of medical instruments.

Last year’s total investment in the free zones was $435 million.
