Costa Rican sector of medical devices is in excellent health

The manufacturing cluster of medical devices in Costa Rica is enjoying excellent health, just when the rest of the economy is catching a cold.

Over the last three months, companies have announced increases in production lines, staff hiring and company profits. The sector represents one third of Costa Rica's exports, amounting to $3.25 billion last year, an annual increase of 19 percent, La República reports in Spanish.
