Costa Rican strike: 67 days and no end in sight

Thursday, November 15, 2018

In order to close the Costa Rican school year the Education ministry made an offer to teachers, including those on strike to provide an evaluation of what would have been the third semester on the basis of the results of the second.

Measures are also being placed on offer in order to shorten the time spent in the upcoming semester so that students can begin to catch up.

The strike is 67 days old and a judicial decision on whether the strike is illegal has yet to be announced.
