Costa Rican subway: Bold vision of future or a mere day-dream?
Thursday, March 22, 2018
A 10-kilometer metro, or subway, train for the Costa Rican capital, San José, could cost at least $1 billion or more, depending on its design or the natural barriers that it might encounter.
The subway has been proposed by well-known politicians.
Labor costs for the construction would be much lower than those of similar projects in Europe and the United States, but those of heavy y machinery could be at least as expensive or even costlier.
