Costa Rican train needs urgent remedial surgery

A modern electric train that links the main cities of the metropolitan área of San José, Costa Rica’s capital, would save for good the problem of traffic congestion that damages the efficiency of the nation’s economy.

That would be a long-term solution but the current train requires urgent remedial surgery simply to achieve an acceptable level of service.
