Costa Rican urban railroad to cost $1.2 billion

Costa Rica’s inter-urban electric train will be launched within four years on its first 20 kilometres of track along the metropolitan area of San José between Sabana and Cartago, following approval by legislators.

The project is expected to cost $1.2 billion of which much is to be provided by the private sector.
