Costa Ricans satisfied with education

Education in Costa Rica has the highest satisfaction rating in Latin America and the Caribbean, with 64% support, according to the latest edition of the Barometer of Public Opinion of the Americas.

Nicaragua is third on the list, behind Ecuador and not far behind Costa Rica, with 62% satisfaction, this despite thousands of children and young people who are outside the education system.

In last place in the region is Guatemala, while education in Chile has the lowest approval rating, below 50% (numbers in parentheses indicate the position of each Central American country in the overall ranking).
