Credit lifeline for farmers in Honduras

A group of Honduran family farmers got tired of knocking on the doors of banks in search of a soft loan and opted for a new financing model, which the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation decided to test in the country.

The initiative involves the creation of development financing centres , so far only in two depressed regions in Honduras but the results have been very promising.
