Credit Suisse expands operations in Panama

Credit Suisse opened its new offices in Panama, where it aims to better serve its clients in that country and in the rest of the region, as well as attracting investment.

"Panama is a Dubai, but the Central American Dubai," said Stephen Meier, Credit Suisse director for Central and South America.

But for the company's top executives, Panama's main challenge lies in criminal activity, as it scares away potential investors.
