Cruises are booming in Mexico's Riviera Maya

From January through November off last year, Mexico registered the arrival of seven million cruise-ship passengers, an increase of 7.2 percent compared with the same period of 2017.
Of that total. three million arrived on the island of Cozumel and a million at Majahual on the Riviera Maya; both are in the Caribbean state of Quintana Roo.
Cruise-ship passengers spent $500 million over the period, according to Mexico's central bank.
