Cuba reaches deal with El Salvador on direct flights

Cuba and El Salvador signed an air trade agreement on Thursday granting each other rights to operate direct flights in specific routes.

The agreement provides a legal base to facilitate operations between the two countries, which will bring benefits in sectors such as tourism.

The document was signed by Salvadoran Deputy Minister of Foreign Relations, Carlos Castaneda, and his Cuban counterpart, Rogelio Serra.
