Deaths reported as heavy rains hit Central America

Heavy rains are hitting Central America, killing five people so far in Honduras and Nicaragua.

The downpours are also causing mudslides and significant damage to infrastructure in the two countries, flooding houses, damaging highways and taking out trees. Several rivers in both countries have also overflowed. The Honduran capital of Tegucigalpa has since seen significant damage to its infrastructure.
