Digicel mulls plans to launch WiMax in Honduras

Digicel, which has 26 percent of the cellular market in Honduras, is studying the possibility of introducing a WiMax Internet broad-band service.
“Just recently we launched our first 4G service in Jamaica, using WiMax technology,” said Damian Blackburn, the new chief executive of Digicel Honduras.
“That’s why we’ve been working closely with the team involved in that particular launch se we can evaluate the possibility in Honduras,” Blackburn added.
