Tuesday, June 28, 2011
Digicel Panama has revealed that, having already spent around $400 million on its operations, it plans to invest around $100 million in 2011 with a view to expanding its network and introducing HSPA+ technology.
The announcement regarding capital expenditure came alongside the introduction of the cellco’s new chief executive, Mario Mendez Miller, and Digicel confirmed that HSPA+ deployment was already underway.
Digicel Panama launched commercial services in December 2008, after its parent company, Irish-owned wireless group Digicel, won a 20-year concession.
