Digitalization could save Costa Rica millions

A digital government in Costa Rica would help cut down costs caused by long procedures for official documents, such as passports or drivers licenses, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

The initiative would help save some $1.5 billion each year.

There are already processes which can be done online, such as a bidding website where companies can see and present offers for projects.
