Direct sales sector grows in Guatemala

Guatemala's direct sales sector has grown 5 percent in terms of total sales so far this year, compared with 2013.

The figure represents sales worth $274 million, compared with the $262 million from last year, the country's direct sales association said.

Among the reasons for growth are new strategies used for selling, such as text messaging clients about payment dates, recruitment events at universities and the arrival of new companies.
