Dole faces new accusations from banana workers

Three US companies are being sued in Delaware by 1,000 banana plantation workers from Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras and Ecuador.

The lawsuits are a new chapter in the 20 year-long conflict the workers have had with Dole Food, Fresh Del Monte Produce and Dow Chemicals.

Of the three companies, only Dole Food has compensated 5,000 workers. The workers claim they weren't warned of the dangers of working with the chemicals.
