The whole world is on tenterhooks over Donald Trump and the messages he has emitted as president of the United States that have caused tension and uncertainty.

So far, Trump has said nearly nothing, at least directly, about Central America. But the region’s governments have to prepare for policy changes that can be both abrupt and unexpected.
