Drought will blight big cash crops

The absence of rainfall in July will jeopardize, yields of vegetable and fruit crops in Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Honduras, according to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.

However, the FAO forecasts that cereal production in Latin America and the Caribbean for 2019 will reach a historical record of 274 million tons, Newsroom Panama reports.
