Economy is top priority for Giammattei

Alejandro Giammattei, who is to be inaugurated as president of Guatemala today, is very concerned about corruption and violent crime, but above all he is keen to promote economic growth.

Optimists compare Giammattei to such pro-business presidents as Álvaro Arzú in the 1990s and Óscar Berger in the 2000s, The Economist reports.
