Ecuador eyes Nicaragua meat industry

Nicaragua's meat industry is attractive for Ecuador, according to María Gabriela Araujo, director of the Ecuadorian investment promotion agency Pro Ecuador for Central America.

Araujo said there is plenty of space in Ecuador to invest in cattle farming, and the meat can be processed there in order to sell it to Ecuador and the rest of the Andean countries.

Nicaragua and Ecuador have excellent political ties as both are members of the Venezuelan-led bloc Alba, but have ye tto exploit trade, she added.
