Thanks to high international prices and a substantial increase in production, El Salvador’s coffee industry has had one of its best years ever.
The nation’s coffee council says that exports for the 2010-2011 season ending at the end of August earned El Salvador $435 million, a 130 percent annual increase.
In addition to high prices, production rose by 67 percent.
