El Salvador and Honduras migrants reap $7.6 billion

Emigrants from El Salvador and Honduras jointly sent home $7.6 billion of remittances to their families back home last year, the respective central banks reported.

El Salvador received the bulk of the money, a record $4.2 billion, almost 7 percent more than the previous year.
