El Salvador and Qatar signed cooperation accords

El Salvador and Qatar signed financial, trade and cultural cooperation agreements after a visit by a government team from the Middle Eastern country to San Salvador.

The chambers of commerce from both countries vowed to work on bilateral trade promotion.

Last year, El Salvador imported only $1.6 million from Qatar, and registered no exports to the country, according to the Salvadoran central bank.
