El Salvador coffee exports surge by 88 percent on strength of high world prices
Tuesday, July 12, 2011
El Salvador’s coffee exports increase in June by 87.6 percent to 130,379 bags of 60 kilos each.
The country revised its estimate for the current coffee harvest to 1.84 million bags, some 11.5 percent more than was originally expected.
As in all the producing countries of Central America, El Salvador has gained from the long rally in world prices.
