Thursday, January 12, 2012

Some 50,300 formal jobs were created in El Salvador last year, according to statstics from the Social Security Institute, Labor Minister Humberto Centeno said.

Centeno said described the report as very positive, because the number of new jobs exceed those created in 2008, when the global crisis started in the United States.

The Social Security Institute reported that 38,637 formal jobs were lost in 2009.
