El Salvador delays accord with Europe

The Salvadoran Government decided to take an extra week to decide if it will ratify the association accord with the European Union.

Congressmen said it would be enough time to analyze all the proposals made by the country's sectors concerning the accord.

"I would say this issue will be solved by next week, since there are no foreseeable objections", said Francisco Merino, from the Concertación Nacional party.
