El Salvador designs plan to lure investment

Wednesday, October 22, 2014

El Salvador's private sector, universities and government have designed a plan to attract more investment.

The aim of the project is to attract $1 billion in investment and generate 50,000 jobs by 2019.

But the country still has many obstacles to overcome in terms of competitiveness for the plan to work, such as increase exports, as well as cut down logistics prices and times, said Johanna Hill, coordinator of the project.
