Monday, July 18, 2011

The call for bids to supply 350 megawatts from new plants that generate electricity in El Salvador from renewable energy, or natural gas and coal has been extended until the 26 August said Delsur, the company representing eight distribution companies.

Energías Renovables reports that the tender, which will cover energy supply from 2016 to 2031, was announced in April.

Futhermore, some companies, which develop oil fired systems, have complained that they were given no opportunity to participate in the bidding.
