El Salvador faces lowest coffee sales in 60 years

Wednesday, July 10, 2013

El Salvador's 2013-2014 coffee harvest will drop 36 percent, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to official data, this year El Salvador will harvest 900,000 quintals, the lowest in six decades.

The damage comes from the coffee rust plague that has affected most Central American countries.
