El Salvador first-quarter remittances fall by $25 million

El Salvador received $920 million in remittances from January through March this year, the central bank said.
The number is $25 million less than the amount the country received during the same period last year.
The drop is attributed to a low employment rate in the United States, where most Salvadoran migrant workers live.
