El Salvador garment sector jobs grow 3 percent

El Salvador's textile and clothing sector created 2,158 new jobs from January to October this year, according to official data.

The figure shows a 3 percent increase in jobs compared to the same period last year.

The sector exported goods worth $2 billion during the same period, an 8.2 growth compared to the same period in 2012.
