Thursday, August 21, 2014

A natural gas production plant in Acajutla, El Salvador, will cost $900 million to build, said Energía del Pacífico, EDP, the company in charge of the project.

The plant will contribute to the diversification of El Salvador's energy production, with a cleaner and cheaper fuel, said EDP President Eduardo Zablah.

He added that the permits and studies should be ready by the end of the year and early next year, so that construction can begin in the summer of 2015.
