El Salvador gets round to talks with IMF

Salvadoran officials have launched preliminary talks with the International Mnetary Fund about the possibility of a financial agreement.

The Fund so far is insisting on a fiscal reform backed by the major political parties. Social commitments have also to be respected, the Fund added.
