El Salvador gets tough with $1.9 million Dizucar fine
Friday, May 18, 2012
El Salvador's business competition regulator issued a $1.9 million fine to Dizucar for unfair business practices.
From 2007 to April 2012, Dizucar sold 93 percent of its white sugar to industrial clients, and only 7 percent to distributors.
The company's practices also prevented new competitors from entering the country's sugar distribution market.
