El Salvador government orders $100 million increase for public health

Thursday, September 16, 2010

The Health Ministry of El Salvador is to receive a $100 million budget increase next year, said Mauricio Funes, the president.

The president said that a service for health emergencies “will be like none other this country has ever had”. And health services “will reach the poorest homes in the country”, he added.

“We aim to begin by providing full medical services to the remotest corners of the nation,” he added.
