El Salvador has low energy efficiency: WEF

A World Economic Forum study placed El Salvador at number 44 of 124 countries in terms of energy efficiency.

The study says El Salvador is one of Central America's most expensive countries for energy, with a kilowatt hour costing $0.16, but Nicaragua is the most expensive, where a kilowatt hour costs $0.19.

Costa Rica is number nine of the world's ten top energy efficient countries.
