El Salvador invests $163 million from the European Union through 2013

The $163 million donated to El Salvador by the European Union has already been invested.

This makes El Salvador the first Central America to complete its spending on Europe’s aid, Stefano Gatto, the European Union’s delegation chief said in San Salvador.

The money is being channelled by means of six major programs that include the prevention of violence and economic recovery.
