El Salvador launches government plan in bid to save energy. Support from Global Environment Fund and Interamerican Bank

El Salvador’s National Energy Council launched a national plan for energy savings in coordination with more than a dozen state and private institutions.
The plan has financial support from various organizations, including the Global Environment Fund and the Inter-American Development Bank.
Consumer and statistical organizations have pledged to record 30 percent savings in energy.
