El Salvador leads use of mobile money services

El Salvador is one of the leading countries in Latin America with growing use of mobile money transfers, Millicom CEO Hans-Holger Albrecht said.

Millicom, who operates under the brand Tigo in El Salvador, is currently the only company to offer the service in the country.

Each year in El Salvador some $150 million is transferred using the service.
