El Salvador mission heads to Washington for talks with Fund on accord

A mission of officials from El Salvador is heading today to Washington for talks with Alejandro Werner, a top-level executive of the International Monetary Fund.

The Salvadorans say they are looking to sound out the Fund on the possibility of a precautionary agreement based on a national consensus.
