El Salvador needs to speed up airport revamp
Tuesday, August 27, 2013
El Salvador's port authority announced it will speed up plans to expand the El Salvador International Airport.
The decision was made after predictions showed an increase in about 600,000 passengers from the second quarter this year up to the end of 2014.
"Those numbers mean we have to implement an emergency plan to face this increase in air traffic," said Alberto Arene, president of the authority.
