El Salvador officially backs Tigo Money e-wallet

Tigo Money, the electronic wallet in cellphones has been official approved by the telecommunications regulator of El Salvador.

Following the 2011 launch of the system in El Salvador, it now has one million clients that make 22 million a year in transactions that total $530 million.

Tigo is the brand of the telecommunications of Millicom International, which is based in Europe and operates in Latin America and Africa.
