El Salvador President blamed for lack of investment
El Salvador's main industrial and trade associations blamed President Mauricio Funes for the lack of investment in the country.
The associations said Funes's "constant and unnecessary confrontations with business leaders, as well as a lack of respect for institutions," have chased away investment and led companies to opt for neighbouring countries.
Among the examples the associations cited was the case of a textile company which had planned to expand its operations in the country with a $20-million investment.
