Salvadoran companies and government representatives organized the country's first Medical Tourism Congress last weekend.
Medical tourism is one of the sectors the country's tourism Minister, José Napoleón Duarte, is betting on for growth, as it normally leaves greater revenues than recreational tourism, he said.
Some 90 companies, including hotels, tour operators and hospitals, took part in the congress.
