El Salvador's building industry stuck in long-term rut

El Salvador's construction industry has shown no signs of recovery so far this year, said the industry chamber, Casalco.

The number of jobs has stayed the same at about 30,000 for the last 30 months, while credit is flowing only very slowly, said the Casalco director, Ismael Nosalcosaid the political crisis in the country has affected investment projects.
