El Salvador’s emigrants send 2.4 percent increase in remittances to families

Remittances by El Salvador’s emigrants this year through September grew by 2.4 percent year-on-year, though last month they dropped by 0.1 percent.

The total for the first nine months of the year came to $2.65 billion.

In September, remittances came in at $270 million, a 0.1 percent drop on the same month of  last  year.
